During our daily lives we usually forget to admire nature; we often stay concentrated on the millions of screens that surround and follow us at any moment; we sometimes ignore the importance of friendships and in-person socializing and close ourselves in our own worlds. However, this was not the case from February 19th to the 26th, as students from Castelli International School immersed themselves in the traditional school Ski Week in the picturesque Val Zoldana. It was a week of fun, happiness and fantastic skiing, where the main goal was to stay with your friends and enjoy every moment.

Skiing

Every day, we would wake up early to go skiing at 9:00am and then start the actual lessons from 11:00am to 3:00pm. The lesson groups were made the very first day depending on each student’s level from the Civetta skiing instructors.  We had a great experience and one of the best moments was during the last two days when we experienced lots of fog, rain and snow while skiing. It was fantastic as we had a blast skiing on the fresh snow. Additionally, we would all gather to visit the "Snow Parks" together, where we tested our speed and high jumps.

Zoldo

This town is the ideal place for schools like ours. As a matter of fact, it was very easy and quick for us to walk to the lockers with our skiing gear and then to the slopes because of the short distances. Furthermore, The scenery characterized by the splendid mountains and wooden houses covered with snow is truly a magnificent sight. Our school was really lucky to go to Zoldo when we did because there was a ton of snow! It made everything so magical and fun. We got to build snowmen, have snowball fights, and ski like never before. It was like stepping into a winter wonderland. Moreover, the view was breathtaking because of all the snow-covered trees and mountains. We couldn't have asked for a better time to visit.

The Hotel

Even though we were on vacation and having a blast in the snow, we still had to do our homework. It was not the best experience having to balance fun activities with schoolwork, but we managed to find time in the evenings to get it done. It was a good lesson in responsibility, knowing that even on vacation, our education was still important. All classes would reunite and do homework together from 6:00pm to 7:00pm. This allowed us to collaborate, which made the tasks feel less daunting and more enjoyable. Sharing ideas and helping each other out not only made the work go by faster but also created a supportive and fun atmosphere. Later on we would share meals, laugh and play games. Sometimes, at night, we would gather in the cozy common room and watch movies together. It was a great way to unwind after a day of intense skiing, and we all looked forward to selecting our favorite movie and sharing laughs or thrills as a group. Moreover, many students were in the same rooms as their friends and this made the vacation better. In addition, after a whole day skiing if you wished you could also access the swimming pool.

Ski Week is such a valuable experience that we hope more and more students will partake in it. We really recommend you to join CIS in this adventure! Not only will it be a moment to enjoy with friends and family, but will also be filled with fun, laughter and skiing in midst of a wild nature.
